after school we flirted he even hugged me

Ok where do I begin. There is this guy that I have liked for a very long time. We met about a year ago in high school when he started calling me duece it was just a stupid nickname after i stopped getting annoyed by him we became friends. I started liking him and then my friend basically told everyone and he found out and he turned me down. But thats ok because we didn't really know each other then. We had our share of fights and argumentsand he even went out with some little 7th grader i don't know if it was just a joke or to make me jealous. It only lasted two days and after it was over he came right back to me. During the end of the school year we started really flirting and i liked it i know he did too. The thing is we never flirted when anyone was around. Summer came and we talked on the internet actually he started talking to me. our friendship got even stronger and one night on the interenet he almost asked me out. When school started back and i saw him for the first time in a long time he just smiled and after school we flirted he even hugged me. This week he will still look at me and smile but then he will give me mean looks like he did today b/c he said i look at him too much and that my eyes are like lasers.( he also looks at other girls who are way prettier than me which makes me jealous) So look I don't know if he likes me or not this past week after school we talked and we kinda held hands the other day. ( But during school he acts like I don't exist and he won't talk to me anymore but then again I will catch looking at me.)I don't know if he likes me or not. In my opinon i think he might but is just scared of what people will think and i don't know how to change that. On the other hand I could have scared him off by looking at him too much. So please help me I don't have anywhere else to turn.The thing that hurts the most is that he is my first love so please I really need your advice.

The way to fix the "laser eyes" is to give him a big smile whenever you look at him. This will fix the eyes and also make you both feel good.

Don't worry about what others will think or say. This is your life and you lead it the way that makes you happy. Besides, most people will feel happy for you too.
