I want to get to know her and be with her for a long time
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old MaleOk, I'm a senior in high school and I have a pretty big crush on this junior. I met her two years ago when I sat at a friends table for lunch. She was with someone at that time, and we didn't know each other at all, but we slowly became comfortable with each other. She was in my class last year, and was still with this guy, but we talked a little bit. This year, they aren't together and I see her everyday at the beginning and end of school. Everytime I see her she says my name and runs and gives me a hug. I saw her do this to another guy, but not as enthusiastically. Regardless, I could be in the crappiest of moods, but seeing her instantly makes me happy. During the summer, I saw her up at my work and I told her to get my number from my friend if she wanted to hang out. She never called, and I was disappointed until I saw her at school. She told me that her friend lost my number. That made me feel a lot better, but I made the mistake of not giving her my number directly. She's tried to get it from my friend, but she still hasn't got it and now they aren't friends any more. I don't want to force my number on her, and I don't want to rush anything. I want to get to know her and be with her for a long time, I just don't know how to go about it. How can I get to know her more, and impress her? I want her to like me, and I really don't want to screw this up.
RomanceClass.com AdviceAdvice: give her your number and ask for her number.
She seems interested in you and you are obviously interested in her so what's the problem? It is shyness on your part. Get some courage up and start communicating with her on the phone. Do you know how much time you have wasted? Such a pity!
If you agonize over this too much, you may screw it up. Be light, be jolly, be her friend and someone she can share her feelings with. That's all it takes.
Good luck!
