i just like you as a friend. Would you be my friend?

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
I have fallen in love with a girl and i havent said anything to her yet and it's been 2 years.Just recently one of my friends told her and a lot of other people at school that i have a crush on her.My uncle told me to tell her this "I know there is alot of rumors goin around about me liking you and all, but i just like you as a friend. Would you be my friend?" And so i told her and she said yes.I don't know what to tell her or if i should sit by her in lunch. there is a lot of girls that sit by her at lunch.I'm afraid i might say something wrong, but if i dont say anything at all, what was the purpose of asking her to be my friend. She is very popular and she kinda flirts with evrybody at school. What do i do?

RomanceClass.com Advice
You're going to have to find a way to become a closer friend.

Do you ever see her between classes where you could strike up a conversation.

Or are you on the same school bus? How about find out what she is interested in (sports, clubs, school newspapers) and then run into her there or join if possible.

Get her phone number or email or whatever and contact her and remind her who you are before she forgets.

It isn't going to be easy, but true love will lead you the way.

Good luck!
George
