Should i back off and be just a friend?
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old MaleSo i met this girl 6 years ago, when i was 20. I asked her out a couple of times, and she kinda blew me off..probably b/c she was sorta seeing this older guy (36-mind you she was 18 at the time). She broke up w/ him a couple of months ago.
So 6 years later (recently) we run into eachother online coincidentally, and we ended up hanging out and she's spent the past few weekends at my house, probably escaping being alone i suppose? Anyways, we have a lot in common and i really like her.
I understand that she's now almost experiencing life on her own for the first time..after all she was in something serious for all those years in her early years of adulthood. I'm sure she wants to have fun and be free for a while, maybe date different people and all that.
I do however really like her, and i'd like to pursue a relationship eventually. I just wonder to what extent should i be contacting her, like how close can i keep it but still keep my distance? Should i back off and be just a friend? Thanks for the help.

Honesty is the key to a good relationship. Ask her if she needs time and space to herself and how do you fit into the picture.
She should be able to respond honestly to that and then you can make your decisions based on what she says.
Good luck!
