one day she calls and breaks it off.i ask if she is seeing someone and she says yes

Visitor's Question from a 31-40 year old Male
here is my problem me and my girlfriend had been been going out for 5yrs.we went through problems but seemed to be fixing them.one day she calls and breaks it off.i ask if she is seeing someone and she says yes.i asked how she felt about me and she said she loves me but love goes so far.she is going trough a stressful time with her career and she told me to give her time and i would have but the problem is that she say she stressed out but she is seeing someone else.also she is having money problems and she calls me for help and i give her help but the problem is if she is with someone else why not ask him.i gave her 3,000 dollars to fix her problem but why call me.then 1 time she called me we got into a heated argument and she tells me not to call her but 1/2 hour later she calls me back.i feel like she is keeping me around as a safety net.i love very much and its hard to move on because i put in 5years.another problem i have how is it she could be with someone so quick after us being together for 5years.when i help her i feel like an idot because if your with someone else why ask me.should i just stop calling her an let her clear her mind.but should i be patient or just let her go completly and maybe she will see i am not her safety net.please advise

RomanceClass.com Advice
She is leading you by the nose.

Borrowing $3000 is nothing to sniff at. She just taking advantage of you.

Try this... wait one month and see what happens. Then call her and ask her how she is doing but don't mention your relationship. You can tell her you still love her if you do, but don't get into a discussion about it unless she has decided to come back to you.

Meanwhile don't "lend" her any more money!
