me and my ex have been apart for about six months
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Femalehey,
so me and my ex have been apart for about six months. but now we are best friends..however i miss him dearly cuz hes away at college. hes invited me to go see him and i plan on it but im afraid that when i see him im gonna want him back. i mean i know i do now but if he has a new girl friend am i allowed to say anything? and i once talked to my mom about dating in general and she commented saying that its possible to meet your one true love but it may happen to young and you dont know it until their gone and youve grown up. do you think that is true? what if he is mine and i will never find out? should i mention that to him cuz i dont wanna end up with the wrong person. i mean i know i love him and hes the only one that gives me that satisfation. so what do i do? i need him and i miss him dearly!

You can never know whether the perfect mate is with you right now. It might feel like it but thousands of breakups happen every day. If someday you look back and think he was the one you are probably fantasizing because your own life is dull.
When you meet him you will want him more probably. Find out if he has a girlfriend. If he does you can let him know you still care about him but don't try to make him breakup.
Look your best. Good clothes, hair, and smell good. Laugh at all his jokes.
But, at the same time have serious talks where you exchange important feelings. You might as well ask him how he feels about you. The odds are that he will say he likes you as a friend. Be prepared to deal with that.
Keep in contact with him so that you are in his mind while you are apart.
Good luck to you!
