My girlfriend and i had dated for 5 years and she broke it off
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old MaleMy girlfriend and i had dated for 5 years and she broke it off because she said she was unhappy with the realationship towards the end of it. She started to see a guy about two weeks after that and she broke it off with him because he wanted to be her boyfriend. It has been about 3 months since we broke up and i have called her a total of about 10 times (seriously... but not including the first two weeks). Now she contaced me about a week ago and i asked the real reason why she broke up with me. she said that she wanted to be single, that she was confused, and she need to figure things out by herself. but now she wants me to be her friend and hang out with her but im not sure if i should because i don't want to set myself up for another heartbreak. i loved this girl to death and she already knows that. i have told her that i'm here for her everytime i talk to her. i have also heard that alot of women at the age of 21 like to be seperate from their realtionships because they want the feeling of freedom. Should i try to be her friend? or should i completly cut her off for a few more months? I know she isn't seeing anybody right now but i really am afraid of getting hurt again. Could you at least give some tips on hanging out with her to get back the spark? any advice would be great
