The problem is that he wants to be close to me but I just want to be friends

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
I've been going out with a guy for over a month. The problem is that he wants to be close to me but I just want to be friends. We get along well like friends but he wants it to go further. What should I do?

RomanceClass.com Advice
The problem is that you say you have been "going out with him" yet you only consider him a friend.

Going out with someone is the next step beyond being a friend. You are probably sending him mixed messages.

Tell him straight out that you just want to be his friend. Don't be surprised if he drops you. Most guys "go out" for something more than friendship.

Good luck! George
