but I can't come up with anything to talk about

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Male
There is this girl I kinda like, but we are not exactly friends.....we just know each other. I talked to her today and found out we had something in common.. We both hate spiders. and we had a long conversation about it too. the only problem is my interests are uh, "different" than hers. I am more of a smart person(so is she) who is into mechanical stuff but i dont know what she is interested in. and she seems kinda "shy" and wont tell me when I ask her so I dont want to make her uncomfortable by prodding her buissness.. but Icant come up with anything to talk about. I and dont want to talk about my self because I am trying not to turn her off. what do I do?

Do talk about yourself at least half the time, she will not be so shy if you are doing most of the talking.
