I don't want to date someone I work with

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
well I'll try to explain this...I work with this girl and she likes me and I like her...She just ended her engagement. It just feels wierd because it happened so fast, I never saw her more then a friend really...but as quick as it was she already wants to date me and this all happened in a month...and her and her ex still have a place together...We developed a really good friendship, and I don't want to lose that...Not only that, My best friend likes her too, and I don't want her to become between us...So basically, I'm lost, I think about it alot and part of me wants to and the other part doesn't...because I don't want to date someone I work with, I don't want to ruin 1 or more freindships...Shes a great girl and I don't want anybody to get hurt...Please help!!!

You gave your own answer.

You don't want to date someone you work with. Case closed.

But, my sense is that you are not positive of your feelings. If you are willing to date a co-worker, then tell your best friend that she wants to go out on a date and is that ok with him. He should say yes if he really is your best friend.

If he says no then drop her since you don't want to date a co-worker.

Good luck! George
