He compliments me and stuff sometimes online and I think very subtly in person

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
Ok. I'm gonna give you as much info as I can. I like this guy, and I know he used to like me, but I'm not sure if he does anymore. I actually think he might be confused, cause sometimes I catch him looking at me, and then looking away, but he doesn't come up and talk to me as much as he used to. Like, he used to come over and talk to me at lunch ever single day and talk, but now he comes over maybe every other day and does something totally bizarre like just pick up my piccolo and walk away! So I walk over and take it back, and he'll just hand it to me and then go sit down in my chair! He'll still talk a little, but not as much. Also, he compliments me and stuff sometimes online and I think very subtly in person, but then, one of my friends (who doesn't know I like him) interrogated him and he actually said out right that he didn't like me, but he did like a sophmore! (I'm a freshman). Now this is really confusing me, and help would be much appreciated!

RomanceClass.com Advice
This is a tough one to figure out.

He flirts with you like crazy but then tells your friend that he doesn't like you.

My best guess is that he does like you and told your friend a fib.

Keep on doing what you are doing and if you like him, start teasing him back and try to find out personally whether he likes you or not.

Good luck! George
