Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
MY boyfreind was with a girl for approx. 3 years. I have now been with him for almost 2 years. He is a very a successful business man and she asked him to help her start a company. Now it is doing very well and they are constantly talking and getting together for business. I know its work related but I can't get over its his ex he's working with. I told him it bothers me and he claims this company is a once in a lifetime deal. Basically he would choose the company over me. He doesn't understand my feelings at all. How can I explain it to him?

You don't need to explain anything to him.

He is an adult and understands what jealousy is like and he can understand why you would be jealous of this situation. Unless you are suggest that you give him an ultimatum there is little reason to pursue this further with him.

You have to learn to deal with the jealousy. Fight against it whenever it enters your mind. Tell the jealous thoughts to go away! Tell them that he loves you and it's only business with his ex. After saying this 100 times or so, the jealous feelings will give up and leave you alone.
