I know eventually I will want to talk again.
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old MaleI am about to leave my ex for good. Not break up, but never see her again. Seeing her a couple days a week at work has made it impossible for my feelings for her to get out of my head so I quit and have 3 days. She refused to talk to me, even about everyday things between the breakup and now. I tried at least once a week to communicate and each attempt has gone with no reply back. I want to be friends and am willing to give us a couple months of no contact at all, visual, verbal, anything. But I know eventually I will want to talk again. Should I attempt communication after a long time apart, in the very distant future, or do you think she'll still ignore me completely?
RomanceClass.com AdviceGive her a month where you don't contact her.
Then give her a call to find out how she is doing, to let her know you still care about her as a friend, and to maintain contact. Don't talk about your relationship unless she brings it up. Be upbeat and don't talk for more than 15 mins.
This should ease you back into communicating with her a little. Only call once a week or twice a week depending how she reacts to your first call.
Good luck! George
