I love my husband. I wouldn't cheat on him.

I've been happily married for almost 10 years. I recetly ran into an ex from many years ago. He still isn't married, never had a gf after me, and according the ex's mother's conversation, he's still interested in me. (She wanted to know if my husband was making me happy) It was a very different connection that I felt with the ex, but I love my husband. I wouldn't cheat on him. however I have been dreaming of the ex almost every night since the run-in. Nothing sexual, just an extreme emphasis on the good connetion we used to have. I still saw that in his eyes... Sometimes I even think I should try to contact him and apologize for the abrupt breakup. How can I just forget about the whole thing?

Perhaps it would be a good idea for you to contact your ex and apologize for the abrupt breakup.

But only do it if you are sure that you won't bring up even more significant feelings for him than you already have done.

By talking with him you may lay to rest some baggage you still have with him. It might be soothing to make that apology.
