I am head over heels in love with my friend. I think about her constantly. I know this is the real thing. It is not just a physical attraction. I feel so good about myself when I am with her and we have a lot of fun together. I told her I liked her but she doesn't know the extent of it. There is a problem. She has a boyfriend right now. She says I love you to me and we hug hello and goodbye. Are these signs that she's keeping me cloe if she and her bf split so we can go out? I don.t hink telling her would be best. How can I become closer to her so she trusts me and sees as a future boyfriend?

Yes it does sound like she is keeping you around in case she breaks up with her boyfriend.

What you should be doing is what a good friend does: be there for her when she needs someone to talk to, share deep feelings with her, and tell her how nice she is.
