I don't want to be a victim of the "love is blind" thing.

i went out with this guy for a long time then he left me for anothr girl over a year ago and i still cry over him! he's my first love ever! he's still with this other girl but we hang out alot and he'll ask me if i still like him because he still likes me and askes me to hug him or kiss him. so do you think he just wants more attention or does he really like me because i don't want to be a victom of the "love is blind" thing.

The only way to find out what's in his mind is to ask him.

You are close enough to do that. Tell him that if he really loves the girl he is with then it isn't right for the two of you to be kissing. Even though you like the attention, and so does he, it isn't a good thing to be doing.

Keep your friendship strong and continue to hug but wait until he splits with his current g/f to do anything else.
