I'm worried for him, but can't do anything cause we broke up

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
Okay. I've been almost literaly pulling my hair out for weeks becuse of this. My Ex and I did'nt talk to much, abotu the 3rd week we had been dateing(the first 3 weeks were great. He was like prince charming), he avoids me, and I kept on procrastinateing breaking up with him for 2 weeks. I cought whim from a reliable friend that he was going to break up with me. MY friend rushed me into breaking up with him first or as they call it "beating him to the punchline" I panicked. So we put a not in his locker stateing that it was over... he read it, and some of his friends said he looked sad. Well, you'd think I'd be over this by now, and I thought I was untill someone told me that he was doing drugs, drinking, and smokeing. I cried for DAYS. Im worried for him, but cant do anything cause we broke up. My question is. Why do I still care about him if he never cared about me?

RomanceClass.com Advice
You still care for him because you wish he cared about you and that your relationship had worked out. And because you wonder if he cared.

You should have talked this over with him before dumping him. There may have been some confusion. In fact, it is not too late to talk with him to explain why you dumped him and apologize for not having the courage to tell him to his face.

Good luck! George
