She will spend up to two weeks suffering from what seems to be depression
Visitor's Question from a 31-40 year old MaleHi,
Ive met the most amazing girl at university we have been going out for one year, both share similar interests and love each other very much.
The problem we have both found is a down to bikering,i thought it was strange that we where arguing about such small things and just put it down to us being around each other too much, however as time passed we have both noticed a definite pattern in when this argumentitive boat occurs, its always just before her period, now i know that this is perfectly normal in most women however her mood totally changes, she almost becomes a different person. She will spend up to two weeks suffering from what seems to be depression, not leaving her bed and crying comulsively and anything i say wont help, i dont know whether i am making a big deal out of nothing or if we should seek advice, and if we do i dont know whether there is anything they can do other than prescribe anti depressants. I love her so much. does this sound strange?
RomanceClass.com AdviceShe should definitely see a professional counselor as soon as possible.
There is no reason for her to have to suffer like this and make you suffer too.
The answer may be anti-depressants (and it would be nice if it turns out to be that simple), but a professional will have to make that call.
It is not strange, she seems to be just different than most people in this particular aspect of her life. I am confident that a counselor will be able to help her or point her to someone who can. If you are still at the University, contact their student health center and get an appointment.
Good luck! George
