I think this is love sickness

Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old Female
I am severely lovesick. He lives in Norfolk, where I used to live before I moved back to my hometown in Cumbria. We both know that we love each other and we are the only ones we each want to be with. The bottom of my stomach aches because I know that I cannot be with him because of the distance. We KNOW that it could work without the distance and we have pointed out that we feel strongly about each other. I think this is love sickness. Any thoughts as to what I should do? Should I carry on this online relationship or is it just making me ill?

You do sound love sick.

You didn't say how old you are or how long you two have been split apart. It is difficult to advise going on so little information.

You two might try a time out to see if you can live ok without communicating. If works then your heartache will be gone. If it doesn't then you haven't lost anything.

Lots of people live with a long distance romance for a long time but it can be very painful.
