He says to me that trust is the most important thing in a relationship

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Female
My partner and I have been together for nearly six months now but have been great friends for nearly two years. Recently I have noticed emails to and from a girl he liked or still likes i dont know, saying they miss each other etc. He chose to be with me instead of trying to meet her but I can not stop wondering if he is only with me till they meet. I did mention that the emails between them hurt me with my fear of losing him increasing, he then said that its a chance that we both are taking and that I to may meet someone else, even though I have no interest. They never got to meet but I know he fell hard for her. The emails between them are hidden from me and never discussed. Is this something to be concerned over? He says to me that trust is the most important thing in a relationship, I would say thats one but honesty and loyalty is far more important.

RomanceClass.com Advice
Trust goes both ways.

You should trust him and his relationship with this other woman; and he should trust you with the information that they share.

Out of loyalty he should also share the emails with you.

There should be openness in a relationship too.

Good luck! George
