Flirting with the Guy

Visitor's Question from a 13-15 year old Female
Well, i really like this guy at my school, but he doesn't know me! At least i don't think he does! But i don't know how to approach him, because when i finally get enough courage he's around friends! So i don't know how to get to know him, if i can't talk to him. The only problem is that i'm two years younger than he is, so i'm afraid that he won't want to get to know me because of our age difference!

I want to talk and get to know him better before we get out of school, because this is his last year at my school! what should i do?!?

You've hit on one of the first things to overcome in a flirting situation - that initial contact. You want to talk to him. But he has friends around. What do you do?

That initial stage of 'getting to know someone' is called breaking the ice, and I have a lot of ice-breaking tips here -

You're right - it's hard with friends around. So don't go for long, drawn out contact at first. Just little "hi" or other little comments or questions, so that he gets to know you are friendly and nice, but you're not having all his friends watch you as you talk.

Also keep an eagle eye out for ANY time he ends up alone without his friends and take advantage of it - again just to say HI or ask a quick question or something. The more you become a "normal person in his world", the easier it will get going forward. But you have to make those first contacts, no matter how small, to get the ball rolling.
