I pretend I'm not not thinking about him but it's killing me
Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old FemaleI can't get my ex out of my head. We broke up almost three months ago, at the time it was an intense relationship and we really did care about each other. After the split I lost the plot a bit, I begged him back and couldn't think straight because I had bad problems in other areas of my personal life. I've sorted things out and calmed down now, and we are on good terms. I've told him Im over it but Im truly not - he means the world to me. Im always acting, pretending Im not not thinking about him but it's killing me. He now has a new girlfriend. Friends keep trying to set me up but no one compares to him. Please help me if possible. Thanks.
RomanceClass.com AdviceHonesty is one of the bedrocks of a good relationship.
You haven't been honest with him. You are pretending you don't care.
Since you are on good terms with him find a way to tell him that you still care for him. Tell him you are not going to bother him except to remind him once a week that you still love him. Just make it a simple sentence and don't drag out the discussion of your relationship.
Good luck! George
