His eyes were definitely on me
Visitor's Question from a 31-40 year old FemaleFor the past few months I have been becoming friendly with a guy I see on a regular basis. It started out with me flirting with him. He seemed interested but slow to respond. Later I found out he was seeing someone--that's why he didn't take it further. I was a little embarassed that I had initiated the flirting. He was kind and understanding about it though. I kept my distance, not wanting to pursue someone who was unavailable. However, he really began to want to talk to me more. I was beginning to think he likes me! But he's taken--what's the deal? Over several months we continued being friendly--seeking each other's company, getting to know each other better--likes and dislikes. I have gotten to a point where I am REALLY liking him--but he's taken--so forget it I tell myself. So, I see him after the holiday break at a friend's party. His girlfriend is not there. He was being very flirtatious and very clingy. He was asking me about my New Year's resolution. He said that this year, "He is trying to figure out what he wants". But what does THAT mean? Was he talking about me? His eyes were definitely on me. Is he trying to choose between me and this woman he is with? If so, should I try to win his interest? I still see him with the girlfriend. Yet, he's been giving me a lot of attention lately.
RomanceClass.com AdviceWithout anything else to go on, I would say his New Year's resolution was just more flirting.
He obviously likes you, but the g/f is still in the way.
Best you can do is keep your current relationship going... or drop him.
Good luck! George
