I'm going to go see her this Sunday
Visitor's Question from a 16-20 year old MaleHi ive posted before. Im one of the many guys on this planet who has fallen for a best friend. Ive been trying for a while now with gifts and hints and nothing seems to be working. I recently put my own phsyical safety on the line to keep her safe from a stalker. Either she is ignorant to my efforts or im just doing something wrong.
But one thing is for sure. I cant wait any longer. One way or another i have to ask this girl out or im gonna lose my sanity. I think about her ALL the time. This cant go on if there is no chance i can be more than just a best friend.
The sad thing is i expect to be rejected even after all the time ive known her. (4 years) I really didnt want it to be like this. But i guess i have to be THIS direct. The sad thing is that if she says no i'll lose a friendship in the process cause i know deep down that if she says no, then i have to walk away.
And i dont think with all the stuff she has going on right now that i WONT hurt her by leaving her behind if she says no. She needs a best friend but i have been there for the past 4 years and i just cant do it anymore.
Ive seen her through the good and the bad and been next to her each step. Seen her hook up with one boyfriend quicker than the next, never really having my chance. Ive been hurting for practically the whole time. I cant just go on being just another of her friends. And i said i would always be there for her...but i may have to break that promise if she says no.
Do you have any tips on anything i should bring to this little talk to better my chances or anything that i should do or say? (besides im developing feelings for you, this is way beyond that)
Im not really going for the romantic approach just the i need to talk to you about something important approach.
Im going to go see her this sunday.
Thanks for all your help so far and i hope to hear back from you before then.
RomanceClass.com AdviceI think the best advice is what I gave you in your last email.
Although it is a little early, buy her a Valentine's Day present (women like dark chocolate) and give it to her on Sunday. After she has eaten at least one piece of chocolate then tell her how you feel about her.
Don't expect miracles, don't tell her you are no longer going to be her friend... you will regret it if you do. Keep hoping.
Good luck! George
