Less than a month later she asked for a divorce

Visitor's Question from a 21-30 year old Male
About a year ago my wife told me how much she loved me and that she was so happy with me....then less than a month later she asked for a divorce. We never fought at all, always got along so well, we were best friends, her family loved me and my family loved her. However we got a divorce, and about 4 months later i found out she was dating a guy who she was friends with while we were married. I put two and two together and figured that she cheated on me with him. however I did find out that he has been in jail 3 times before she got together with him....two for drugs and one for assulting a cop. Now he is in jail for the fourth time for what im not sure. I still talk with her family and they tell me that they pray for me and wish we were still together. It has been a year and I still cant get past her and I love her so much. She still calls me everyonce in a while, maybe once a month or so. she still says she loves me and sometimes she says she gets really sad when she thinks about us. I finally told her to quit calling if she didnt want me to hang on to her cause everytime she called it gave me hope. she said she didnt want me to hang on and that she wanted me to move on so she quit calling, until recently she called me to talk and we talked for about 2 and a half hours. I have asked God for help and to help me let her go and that I only want her to be happy but I keep getting reminding of her all the time....deep down I would love to be with her again, what should I do?

RomanceClass.com Advice
You are doing all you can do.

Moving on is the right choice and you are on the road to doing that. It isn't easy but it is essential.

Some people never move on but only a very few. Most find some way to get past a lost romance and find a new one. Obviously something was not working right in your old relationship and you don't want to go back to that. Look to the future and trust in God that things will turn out ok for you.

Good luck! George
