Don't Give them too much attention
I can tell you this from my personal experience. This girl broke up with me and i kept asking her to get back with me. This drove her away even more. Then i decided to let it go and stopped giving her undue attention. In just a few weeks, she started missing the attention that i was giving her and desperately wanted it back. Don't think that if your ex is pretending to not care about what you're doing and your general well being, then they're fine. It keeps running like a wild hurricane in their heads too. So let them be. If you've treated them nice and good, they will soon realize that the world is not so great without you. Let them realize the true value of your attention.
