Do not!!! Don,t don,t don,t tell your gf/bf that you love them, unless you're 16 or older.
"I can't stop thinking about you" or "I'm crazy about you" are both great, or anything along those lines.
You see, love is one of the most overused words, and many people, mostly girls, will find it cheesy.
