Pictures of You -- The Cure
Remembering someone loved through pictures, whether actual or just images in the mind, makes up most of the lyrics. Halfway through, the song begins to segue to regret over what may have gone wrong. After the bridge, the emotional burden of loss and the fading of the memories is neatly encapsulated in the final verse:
"There was nothing in the world that I ever wanted more than to feel you deep in my heart. There was nothing in the world that I ever wanted more than to never feel the breaking apart of my pictures of you."
