Tales of the Ex @ RomanceClass - the joke on me... Well, he was one of my closest friends (or so I thought) and I noticed that we started spending way more time with each other than usual... that kind of behavior went on for about a month... Then April rolled around and on April 1st... he asked me out... I was kind of weary of it at first because after all it was "April Fool's Day" so I did ask him if it was for real or just an April Fool's joke and he swore that it was in fact for real and that we needed to step up our friendship to boyfriend and girlfriend because he has stronger feelings for me than just a friend would have... so I said yeah, we'll do this and I was so happy! He even gave me his necklace off of his neck to show ppl that I was his... Then near our 1 month he had to go out of town for a week to visit his sister and swore that he would call and message me every chance he got, so I waited for a call... none ever came so after a few days, I called him... he didn't answer... So, I thought well, maybe he just didn't take his phone or he really couldn't call so I just forgot about it because he would be home in a few days anyway, and I'd see him then... Well, when he got home I was so happy to see him, but he didn't talk to me at all... so I wrote him a note during class and gave it to him as I passed him in the hall... He took it and kept walkin as if it was nothing... Later that day at school I had a sick feeling deep in my stomach that something was totally wrong and began to wonder what I could've possibly done to make him not want to talk to me or even be around me... and then I began to cry a little (which is weird for me cuz I never cry)... Then, my friend asked him what was wrong and what had happened because she'd never seen me that upset before... and his exact words were "I don't care if she's upset or not." I was devistated... I cried my eyes out all day cuz I knew that there was nothing I could do or say to change his mind... then one day he wrote me a note and told me that it was all a joke on me, that he didn't love me and never would, and that all of everything in our relationship was a lie on his part... and then, never talked to me again... A lesson that can be learned from my experience is that if you have a close friend that is a guy (if you are a gurl) or a gurl (if you are a guy) to not go into a dating relationship because ultimately it will more than likely ruin your friendship with each other... another lesson is, don't trust someone who asks you out on April Fool's Day even if they say it's not a joke, cuz they could be a jerk just as my ex-bf was...
