Visitor's Question:
I met a girl a couple months back working an assignment with her shes 28 im 25. After it was said and done I got her number cause she only lived down the road from me so we could hang out. We went out a couple days later and one thing led to another and we were already sleeping together the first night. This went on for awhile with me not seeing her too much or showing to much emotion toward her. She pursued to the point we talked on new years eve and she really wanted a serious commitment with me. I told her we could start the new year off as going out and not to rush things becuase we had slept together so soon, things needed to slow down. I thought i was giving her what i wanted and still spending time with her she seemed happy. Then one night she calls and asks if we can just be friends, i was so shocked i jsut said yes and went with it to make her happy. Turns out she met someone else who is 38 and only knew him for a couple hours she said she wasnt out looking for anyone this just happened. she felt we werent on the same page as far as how fast to move this relationship along. I poured my heart out to her and told her what she meant to me and asked for a second chance i was just scared to get too close too her from past relationships. She says her fellings are still the same for me but she feels she has to give this other guy a chance and if its meant to be it will be between us. Is this true does she have intentions of being with me again after things dont work out with her and this other guy. She is loooking for a long term relationship with marriage and told me she doesnt want to be alone. I dont think this new guy is going to give her what she wants because he is recently divorced. I'm ready to give her what she wants but she felt i wasnt moving fast enough. She also told me i was the only guy close to her age she ever dated everyone else has been in their late 30's and 40'2. How do I get her back. Thanks for everything.

Our Suggestion:
You can try to get her back by promising her that you are committed to a long term relationship with marriage as a goal.

When things (hopefully) fall apart with her new guy you will be there waiting.

Call her once a week for a 15 min call just to catch up.
You could try asking her out as a friend and see if she will agree.

Good luck! George
