Getting over jealousy of a cheaterSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: my girl and I have been togethere for about3 months now. She has a older male friend who she has known for over 2 years now. One day we got into a rather bad fight because the friend took a cheap shot at me and I flipped out because of it. She left me and when she told him he asked her to marry him. She said yes. A few days later thing cooled down and her and I got back togethere and I knew nothing of the engagement. It wasnt till about 2 weeks later that I found out and confronted them about it. When the smoke finally cleared she said that she wanted to be with me and I said I would take her back. But now I have this huge problem with jealousy since they are still best friends who talk every day. What suggestions can you make to help me get over this jealousy. I dont want to loose her, I honestly love her but I hate feeling jealous all the time like when I see a recent picture of her and she still wears a necklace that is a symbol of their "Friendship" Our Suggestion: It's hard not to feel jealous when your g/f agrees to marry someone else. I don't think you should be over this yet. Have long, honest, trusting and caring talks with her about her and her friend... you probably already have, but you need more. Make sure the talks are gentle and sincere and you don't get angry or depressed any more than is reasonable. That's the only advice I have... time is going to have to heal this for you. Good luck!
