Strange Turn of EventsSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Hello, over the past few months I have been living in a perpetual state of confusion over this one girl. To begin with, youve got to understand that this girl is very odd. Her father was murdered by her mother and she has some complicated issues and Im sure that will affect the asnwer. Either way, we started off at the beginning of highschool hating eachother, then we both started smoking and met in the pit (senior year and yes, bad first thing to have in common but hey). After hanging out a lot (I mean a lot - boarding school) I realized I really really liked her and had a lot in common with her. Eventually the day christmas break started we got together because she came to me and told me she liked me. Unfortunately she lived far enough away that we didnt get to see eachother once over the break. I called her a few times, she called me but nothing serious. Now this I didnt get, she calls me at newyears and breaks up with me but tells me she still likes me. We get back to school and kind of hang out but dont really talk about anything. I try to bring up the subject but fail. One night she sneaks over to our residence says some stupid drunk things and eventually we sneak out for a ciggarette. I bring up the subject, as I was not sober also, and she tells me she wants to be friends and not lose that. I get kinda pissed and walk away and she comes after me crying saying all these things expressing how important I am to her. I cave and tell her things will be alright basically.(So now Super, I have this emotionally unstable girl who I am now in love with who wants to be friends). Finally we get to now, Valentines day, where I gave her a poem that actually got published, and she loved it. She wrote me a note saying things like it made her speechless and she cherishes our relationship and that Im her closest friend and whatnot but for some reason when we see eachother it doesnt feel that way. It feels awekwered and strange and I dont know what to do. She knows, I hope, that I still want something more, but refuses to bring up the situation. I know this is tough but what should I do to get her back if that is at all possible? Our Suggestion: Seems like for the moment all she wants is friendship. So, work at being her best friend. Do this by showing you care for her, sharing feelings with her, and being there for her. Eventually the friendship may grow into something more. Give her little gifts whenever appropriate and write more poems for her. Good luck! George --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
