Visitor's Question: My and my boyfriend are both nearly 21 and been together for 4 and a half years, and week ago he decided to finish with me because he doesnt love me anymore, and he doesnt know why. He said he needs time alone to do things that he wants to do. He says he has felt this way since christmas and carried on trying to ignore his feelings, but he says he cant go on anymore as he'll be living a lie. Ive been in uni for 2 n half years and only saw him on weekends and holidays, which we got used to. its not as if i demanded to see him everyday. before christmas i question the routine of the relationship sayin it was borin and did the same things, and he was the one reassuring me sayin it'll be so different after uni and everything will be fine, Im graduating in 3 months and he does this! I just feel that this time alone that he wants isnt going to gain anything, as he wont even talk to me about our problems. He will just fill his time up with his friends work and football, and not think about our problems. Wen we finished he sed to txt now and again and he'll prob want to see me when i come home for easter in a month. Is he just stringin me along? trying to be nice and wiggle his way out of the responsibility of what hes done? People have told me to just get on with it, but its so hard. They say not to txt him wait for him to txt me, but i know he wont txt me as he'll be stubborn at a time like this. I dont want to not txt him and then he thinks i dont care anymore and moved on, and then he ends up doin the same. Im so confused.help Our Suggestion: I've noticed that, for some reason, people get the need to discover themselves about the age of 21. This could be what your boyfriend is going through. Contact him about once a week for 15 mins and ask how he is doing and remind him that you care for him and miss him. By Easter you will have a better understanding of where he stands. Good luck!
