Visitor's Question: i've been with my man for a little over a year and like all relationships it was great at first. we want to get married and we both love each other more than words can explain. he was gonna get me a ring and everything around x-mas last year but that changed cuz we had a really bad fight about my ex fiancee. now it seems like the fighting doesn't stop. if i talk to my friends and ask advice from them, he gets mad cuz he says it's no one elses business. however, i can't talk to him about it cuz it just makes him worse. he wants us to compromise but when the opportunity comes around it's always his way or the highway. i can't give him a taste of his own medicine cuz he'll leave me. and he's always calling me a gold digger anymore. i've never asked him for anything since we've been together. i've about had it with him but i know we can be happy again. and that's all i want. Our Suggestion: Seems like he's got you under his thumb. He thinks its ok for him to get his way in fights but not for you to. I think you know this can't continue this way. What do you want more, to stop the fighting or to have an equal relationship? He isn't interested in having an equal relationship. If you let him get away with this it will never change.
