Should I stay or should I go?Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: My girlfriend and I are "giving space" to each other at her request. Yet, we have been talking and hanging out more and more lately over the past two weeks since the space giving speech was given and are having as much fun as we did when we first started dating. She says that I am the love of her life, holds me, tells me she misses me, but doesn't want boyfriend right now since everything is crazy in her life (school, work, etc.) and likes being friends for now. I have no problems giving her space (although I acted a bit childish and needy at the beginning), but it seems a little strange that when someone says you are the love of a person's life, but they DON'T want to be around you as much, means that she really doesn't want to be in a relationship with me at all anymore. That could be just my pessimistic mindset in overdrive, though. I've contemplated moving to another city across the country for work and for starting a new life, but I'd be happier staying where I'm at and being with her and working on us on a long-term basis. She says once the semester is over, we have a great chance of being together again. I hate to hinge the basis of my future on whether this indecisive woman wants to be with me or not, but I do love her very much and wouldn't like to move away knowing I didn't do the best I could while I was with her. So, darlin' ya gotta let me know, should I stay or should I go? Our Suggestion: Other than the break, things are going great for you two. The end of the semester is about a month away, so why not wait and see if you can get what you really want. Tell her you plan on doing this and see how she replies. Good luck!
