Should I still like her?Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: I'm sending this to ask if I should abandon my love for this girl I liked for 'bout a year now. It's been ~12 months since I started liking her, and ~6 months since I had a worthwhile conversation with her, and 3.5 months since I've seen her. We used to get a long really well, but after a while, she didn't seem interested in me at all anymore. NOTE: Our parents work for an oil company, so we live in a compound in Africa. People usually stay for 4 or 5 years before moving, and I moved this past Christmas to somewhere else in Africa. I've already meant to bid farewell to her when I sent her a Valentines Card that summed it all saying "I love you, and Good-bye," and might've scared her to the point to which she doesn't want me in her life anymore. This was before I read my e-mail messages and found a message from her asking to keep in touch she sent in January. If I read the message before I sent the card, I would not have sent the V-Day card. I tried to pretend as if that card never existed, and responded asking her to maintain a correspondence, but I haven't heard from her since. I've got the impression that she wants me completely erased from her mind, and now I'm considering leaving this love and getting on with my life. I deeply love this girl, and I find it really hard to leave my love for her, I'm wondering if I should or still try to win her. Our Suggestion: You can continue to love her and contact her. However you have to be more forward and frequent with your approaches. Email her more often and put some thought into the emails. Make them interesting enough so that she will answer.
