How do I tell him?Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Hi George! I'm thirteen years old and there is a guy I really really like. We have been best friends since first grade, and we always hang out. All of my friends say that he likes me too, but I don't know. Their reasons are "the way he looks at me" or "how he flirts whenever he's around me" or "how he blushes when he sees me". He also supposedly "stares at me in a long, sweet gaze from across the halls" and one time, my friend said that when she asked where he got the help on the science homework from, he said "someone very special". I helped him with that homework! We talk on the phone for 1-2 hours a night, and sit with each other at lunch. My other guy friends told me he likes me. I know this all sounds like solid proof, but I've never noticed any of this stuff, and he always calls me someone very special. We do hang out all the time, but we always have. A couple times I've noticed him flirting or saying sweet stuff about me, but not enough for me to risk humiliation. He's perfect for me though-he's smart, cute, funny, and he's really really nice. I'd just go up to him and say "Hey, I like you a lot," but I really don't want to ruin our friendship. If he doesn't like me, I don't want it to be awkward between us. So my question is does he like me, and how can we get closer? Our Suggestion: Tell him in a subtle fashion. Tell him that you are "starting to develop feelings about him." Give him a chance to answer and finally ask how he feels about you. For any love affair to get off the ground, someone has to be brave enought to take the first step. This way should not affect your relationship. Good luck! George --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
