Being Homesick Suggest Advice Do you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: My boyfriend is originally from illinois and i live in virginia. He moved down here to be with me but then after a recent visit to illinois he realized how much he misses it there. he wants to go back and he said that i didn't do anything wrong but i think that i did. Is there anything that i can do to get him to stay? Our Suggestion: It's VERY very common to get homesick! I lived in another state for a year and believe me, as much as I was happy there, every time I went back home I desperately missed my home landscapes and smells and everything else. He cares for you - but he wants to be "home". If he came to be with you for a while why can't you go be with him for a while? You can see how you like it there.
