Jealous of time or girfriends friends!Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: My girlfriend and I have been dating for five years and we both felt it was the right time to get married. All of a suden she met new friends ,both female and male, and now she is affraid of commitment. She also told me she needs more independence and she stop spending a lot of time with me. She loves me but I think I'm jealous of her spending more time with her friends than with me and wanting more independence. I feel like I'm getting desprete for her. What do you think? how do I get over my jealousy of wanting more time with her? I want the jealousy to be gone...ahhh Our Suggestion: You have every right to be jealous and should not give it up too easily. You two were ready to marry and all of a sudden she gets a desire to be independent. You can, of course, understand how some people might react this way to the prospect of marriage. They want to be sure they are doing the right thing. Fight, but gently, for your right to have time with her. Use your imagination and think of things you haven't done together... maybe a weekend trip to some exotic place. Show her the fun things you can do together. Hope this helps!
