Do you have some advice for this person?

Visitor's Question:
My boyfriend and i have been going out on/off for two years. A lot has gone on. I have broken up with him a few times and i regret it so badly. A little over a month ago i told one of my best friends (or who i thought was my best friend) that i still had feelings for my boyfriend adn i cant stop thinking about him. so she told me i should talk to him. so i did. and my boyfriend adn i started dating again(but i didnt tell my parents yet). about a week or so later i found out that my boyfriend and the person i thought was my bestfriend were talking to eachother for about an hour every night and telling eachother that they loved eachother. Andrew and i had been telling eachother that we love eachother too at the same time. So i basically think that he cheated on me with my bestfriend even though they may not have hung out or anything. It wasnt physical but it was like emotional/mental cheating or whatever. that huge mess went on for a couple weeks. then finally my boyfriend decided that he made a hug mistake and that he really really wanted to be with me. he said he only told my now ex best friend that he loved her b/c she would say it first to him. That situation still upsets me. I really love him and decided to give him another chance because I seriously love him and i figured it was only fair since i screwed up several times before(ive broken up with him more than once before, ive never cheated or done anything bad like that). but anyways... my mom says we cant date mainly because of the fact ive broken up with him twice before. plus she says we are too emotional. but shes acting like we are married. yet we are only teenagers. How can i change her mind? Ive tried talking to her several times but we always end up yelling and i end up in tears and she just says "no". please help me.thank you

Our Suggestion:
You have two choices:

See this fellow behind your mothers back... or continue trying to convince her that it is a good thing for you to see him.

Ask her to explain why she is opposed to seeing him and listen real hard.. don't cry or argue, just listen to what she says. Next time you will be better prepared to slowly convince her that you would be ok with him.

Good luck! George
