Being Apart - Will She Leave?Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Me and my girlfriend are always apart because we're still young. Is she getting tired of being away from me? Is she going to leave me? Our Suggestion: Every relationship involves the couple being apart. Sometimes it's during the day for work/school. Sometimes it's for weeks at a time because of trips. Sometimes it's months or years because of jobs or college. The relationships that survive these distances have strength and love. The ones that don't, don't have people who are fully committed. So only she knows if this particular relationship and distance is wearing on her. Lots of young people hold long distance relationships. If anything it's easier because they don't expect sex all the time or nightly dinners out. They just want someone to talk to and be there. So ask her! Find a time to talk with her. See if she'd like to find a way to stay more in touch. You can send email, send letters, talk on the phone, you name it. Many, many relationships survive quite happily on these things. If she says she's happy with them, then believe her! It may be your own insecurities which are causing the trouble. But if she says she wants more, then find ways to give her more. Ask her what might help and work on it. Often it's just the fact that you're making the effort that is enough. --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
