Do you have some advice for this person?

My girlfriend just left me.
We were together for 10 months and everything was great. her boyfriend died when she was 17 and she kept on mentionning this, and that she realised when he died that she loved him. well anyway we got on so well we never got into any serious arguments or anything, she kept on isiting that she loved me and that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with me and that she loved me so much. she is italian and im english. she had to go back to italy to help with her parnents b&b which she did. i was doing the harvest as i am a farmer and was feeling very lonely and smokink loads of skunk everyday. as you can immagine it messed with my head. and i felt even worse and ended taking it out on her and saying things like i didnt want a wife who would leave me in the midle of the hardest part of the year. etc etc and wanted her to at least call me which she didn't. and a few days later she called me and said it was over saying that she preffered life in itay and that she couldnt see herself bringing her kids up in the uk. the thing is that i just think her familly have something to do with it, her brother was jealous of me and i know this, he has been praised by his famillyu all his life for some pathetic feats which he has acomplished and she has been critiscied for everything she does, well anyway when the dad met me he started praising me and not the son as much and i know he didnt like it. i could go on but i would be here all night.in other words he was extremely jealous of me. anyway things were ok between us until she went back to italy and after a few days we got into an argument which was started by me over really stupid things i said. and the next thing i knew she ended it. i also know she ended relationships because of stupid littlie things like they were not trusting enough and other things. when i said that we were good together she said that we werent perfect together, there were some flaws, what does she want a perfect reltationship!!! cos as far as i know there is no such a thing everyone gets in arguments you just work through them, and this was the first proper argument we got into. and she just seemed to quit just like that, i told her not to contact me anymore cos i was moving on, but i didnt mean it, i havent heard of her since, but i want to speak to her, but i feel like an idiot to try and contact her as i am a proud person and dont like to go back on my word. well anyway any help will be much appreciated. i know i have left alot out but i would appreciate any advice.

Our Suggestion:
As you have noticed, Italians (like many other nationalities) consider family to be the most important thing.

When she went back to Italy, she was back with her family and under their influence. You put too much stress on the relationship and it fell apart.

If you want to get back together you will have to drop your foolish pride and tell her you love her and want her back again.

She will respond to this. You might also consider telling her you are willing to come to Italy to live.
