Visitor's Question:
I know the answers to those.

1. i think he loves her. i think she has a huge crush.

2.yes to the relations bit.probably whats keeping him hooked.

3.She THINKS she'll move. doesnt think anytime soon though.which isnt what she said at the start.

like i said. we see him getting strung along here. sooner or later she got to take a stand or itll be clear she just enjoys this type of a relationship.she's all laddydadyda and he takes things seriously but is getting stressed. Also when she isnt around we can see he hurts inside. Dont think she is though. This upsets us the most.Cause if you care about someone you wouldnt want them to hurt like this.

4.he wont move.cant. got school right now. just starting.

5.she can afford it. she aint paying!

6.he can barely! AND I MEAN BARELY!

The thing that has dawned on me and not the others is that he may be feeling hopeless.
I think he feels that he has to risk alot to get anything in a relationship after the last ones fell through.
I think he might be desperate. That makes him vulnerable and easy to be strung along. Even if he doesnt see it.

So he may think: the face to face ones failed--> he has to risk a long distance one--> and if this one is the last good girl he thinks he will meet. THATS what i think. I think ill tell him that too. But he'll probably not notice this about himself.

the big questions im gonna ask him is:
can she be trusted at this point?
does she care about his future?
why does she let him spend that much money?
If she cared would she put him through this?
Does he even know the real her? Sex doesnt mean that he does.

I never try to intervene in other people lives. This is just gonna be a little chat. But man, ive never seen somebody getting the worst in a relationship so bad in my life. Hope something gets through and he reevaluates things. Or he could be in for a long hurt with a bad ending.

Our Suggestion:
I'm sure you see things more clearly than he does.

He is lucky to have you as a friend to try to help him through this mess.

His school should have counselors available to help him our... try to steer him towards them. He could damage his potential if he lets this fester.

Good luck to you both! George
