If he is a truly caring person he should respond to your honest remarks. Be prepared for the possibility that he may never come back... this will reduce the tension you feel and give you a bigger picture than you have now. Keep as close as you can to him and treat him with respect, talk to him, share feelings with him, and compliment him (in other words be affectionate).
