BF too close to co-workersSuggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: I do not know what to do. My BF spends all day with co-workers, happy hour twice a week...etc. We have been together two years and met as co-workers, fell for each other eating lunch etc.. We no longer work together. He just told me he is planning to rent a cabin and go up for two-night to ski with co-workers. For workers only, no spouses etc.... I am a skier and love to ski. This is not a company sanctioned team trip, just those that are friends having little get together in the snow. Co-ed. I asked if I could go and he said no-one else is bringing anyone. I will not be able to handle him doing this... I can not understand why he would want to vacation with co-workers so badly, knowing this upset me. I feel terrible. He thinks i'm too jealous, but I just think he is inconsiderate of my feelings. If I were to say how would you like it if I went away on a co-ed weekend that I planned,he would say "i would not mind". Because he knows I never would anyway. I am ready to break-up over this if he goes....I just don't see why he does not care enough to bring me along. BTW we had one issue before where he called a girl from work during lunch and lied and said he was calling an older woman. Right in front of my face. So we have a little trust issue as well. I don't know how to keep him from doing this, but I won't survive that weekend home alone wondering.... Our Suggestion: Tell him straight out that if he goes then so do you. In other words you are going to dump him. There is no reason for him to go off on a co-ed weekend and leave you home. Maybe that's the way the "gang" wants it to be but you don't have to buy into it.
