What should I decide?Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: There’s this sweet guy that happens to be interested in me. We went out for lunch last week and after having a good friendly (to ME it seemed) time, I guess it encouraged him to let him open up to me and tell me how he felt. He might’ve saw our hanging out as a date, but I just saw it as us hanging out, getting to know each other more because we don’t really get to talk so much at our work and he seemed like a nice friend to have. We’re both 26 years old and I’ve never been in a relationship before, due to me being extremely shy but I always figured that for my first time, it would be with someone I feel the same way about. Now, he’s a great friend and is amazingly sweet and seems to have a great heart which definitely drawns me to him. And I feel comfortable around him when we’re talking, but I don’t know if I should give him a chance at a relationship or just be his friend until maybe one day when we’re hanging out together, I just happen to get hit with that mutual attraction that he has for me in return. It’s like I owe it to myself to try to finally be in a relationship because I’m 26 and never had one, even though I see him as a friend, he likes me and I’m not with anyone, so why not, but would that be a good enough reason to be with him? I would think it would be right to be with someone I felt the same way in return with in any relationship that I get into. I wouldn’t want to lead him on and he does seem cute and maybe in time would feel attracted, but what should I do in the meantime? Give it a try or see if he wants to just be friends for the time being? Thanks for reading and for your response. Our Suggestion: My advice is to give him a chance. As you said, you owe it to yourself to try to find a relationship and he seems nice enough to give it a try with him. You are really not risking a lot and the potential pleasure outweighs any potential pain. Good luck! George --Your Friendly Advisors at RomanceClass.com
