Our Suggestion: Saying a simple hi is easy. When you see her in the hall, look her straight in the eyes, say in a clear voice "hi" plus her name, and give her a big smile. Do this every chance you get unless she seems to be annoyed by it after the first few tries. Talking topics: family, pets, friends, school, teachers, weather, music, cable, sports, vacations, hobbies, etc. In advance, have some questions or statements ready to talk about with her. Since she is shy, she will delight in hearing your talking no matter what it is about. What is the most fun thing you have in life that you can talk with her about? Talk then.
