What should I do about him?Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: Me and my boyfriend of over a year have been "on a break" since march 21st. I called him on his birthday last week and we started talking about us. I told him that I was having a hard time being on a break and I wanted to be with him. I even texted him that prior weekend and told him i loved him but he didn't respond to it. He says he needs a break because he is really overwhelmed with school (its his last semester),and is not focused on us right now. He also says he feelings for me have not changed and he is not interested in seeing other people. I am a junior at college in NC and he lives in pittsburgh (where I am from). He also said that when I come home for the summer we will get used to being around each other and he will be sad when I go back to school in NC (but he knows I just have 1 year left) He found a job he really likes in pittsburgh, so he is not going anywhere. I really miss him but I have told him how I feel about him and have tried to make an effort. I know he loves me (up to this point he was always the one talking about our future...kids, etc) but since I have put forth my share of the effort, I want him to take the initiative when he is ready to get back together with me. I have not contacted him at all since his birthday because I don't want to pressure him. I am hoping that not contacting him will show him that I can be happy without him and he will miss me even more and want me back. Is this the right way to handle this situation or is there something else I should be doing? Our Suggestion: You are the best judge of what will work with him. It's always a crap shoot whether you leave the person alone and hope they miss you or you keep contacting them. From what you say about your situation my advice is to give him the space he wants.
