should i give up?Suggest AdviceDo you have some advice for this person? Visitor's Question: In 8th grade i had a huge crush on this guy in my grade. me and my friends started trying to get to know him. we found out his whole family was on drugs, and he himself was into it. we never cared though, we would sit with him at lunch, we went to his house, and we would walk with him in the hallway. i guess he didnt think that it was nice of us to do that cuz he started calling me a stalker. he never called my friend that just me. later, i asked his best friend why my crush didnt like me and he told me he didnt like my friend not me. i never gave up though, because i had, have huge feelings for him. later he got more comfortable around me, and started smiling, and talking to me. when we talked he would look at me with this intense look. i knew he was paying attention. my friend gave up on him after a while, but i never did. i gave him a christmas card that he really liked. at the end of the year i asked him to sign my yearbook, and he put (have a great summer love (crush)) with a big heart next to it. i had no idea what he meant. 9th grade year things were weird. i felt stupid that i "stalked him" he ended up being in my art class the next semester, and he would always stare at me. he always ended up next to me when we did projects. i thought he was still interested. two weeks after class had start he got suspended for ten days. i saw him in the hallways that day and he gave me this weird look. i found out later that his mom took him out of school. apparently he lied too much about his black eyes and stuff, and why he was never in school. people started to suspect something was wrong. i'm in 10th grade now but 3 weeks ago i decided to make him a card, just for him to know that i still care. i put my e-mail and my friends cell phone on there. we put the card on his front porch. he hasnt written back, i have no idea if he got it or not. what should i do? give up? Our Suggestion: Don't give up yet. Given his sad home life, it may take him a little longer to respond than most people. Since you care about him, approach him personally and tell him you still care for him. He will probably be delighted. He needs some support. Good luck!
