Why was I cursed with such a horrid jealousy?

I have a terrible jealousy... My boyfriend does not know this. Do not take this the wrong way though! I don't hold grudges on other girls he talks with and other things like that! But...recently my inner-envy has been eating away at my insides.

My boyfriend left for a school trip about a week and a half ago. He returned three days ago. One of his first priorities was to tell me of how 'hot' everyone was at the place he went to. This just set me off! I've been missing him for almost two weeks and that's how he greets me! The next thing he says, is that one of the girls [that was on the trip] had flashed him [and a friend], and that he was dared to stick his braid in her cleavage. What am I supposed to say to that?! I got so mad/sad I started drowning in my own tears. I haven't told him how I felt about this, but I hinted around it last night. We talked, and I felt better. But then this afternoon he pulls out the cleavage story. I try to be happy for him but he's continually crushing my happiness and the worst part is, is that he doesn't even know it! I hate being a jealous little girl... ]:



Our Suggestion:
Very often a boy will tell a story because he can't believe he "saw" it.

This sounds like the cleavage story. He's like "OMG, you won't believe this!"

He may not even take it personally, what happened. Just something that occured.

It is good that you can try to be happy for him. Imagine if a good-looking guy walked up and said you had beautiful eyes. You should share this with your BF because it is part of your life. He might be jealous but he really shouldn't be. Jealousy is a terrible thing for a person to suffer. We all have to fight it whenever it rears its ugly head. Try to do that yourself.

This is not to say you can't gently let your BF know that his stories sometimes made you feel bad... he deserves to know how you feel.
